The Sibundoy Valley is characterized by being a slow town , located in the Andean area of Putumayo , also called the Upper Putumayo . It is the birthplace of artists and the Kamentsá indigenous community, an indigenous community of Putumayo that keeps its traditions and ancestral medicine very much alive. This is why this place is chosen by people to carry out different wellness therapies where they can also share living culture and art with the locals.

Itinerario

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Sibundoy Valley - Cultural Tour

  • Arrival in the city of Pasto, reception by our staff, luggage handling.
  • Refreshment.
  • Travel to Sibundoy (3 hours 30 minutes).
  • Cultural tour through the park of interculturality where we can observe works of art carved in wood, one of the very typical artisanal samples of this area of Putumayo.
  • Visit the town hall to learn about the traditions of the Kametsa people and their customs as an indigenous people.
  • Visit the House of Culture to learn a little about the besknaté or carnival of forgiveness, the traditional festival that takes place every year 8 days before Ash Wednesday.
  • Lunch at Benach art house.
  • Transfer to the Mama Señora mansion where we can appreciate a gallery of wood and bead carvings made by the master Gerardo Chazoy, a renowned artisan.
  • Dinner.
  • Lodging and rest.

Day 2: Sanction of body, mind and spirit

  • Light breakfast (For people taking medication).
  • Visit craft centers, beadwork, wood carvings, and weaving.
  • Conversation around the Tulpa and distribution of purifying agents (Optional).
  • Reception and cleansing of energies with incense to enter the maloca (Ayen wellness center).
  • Discussion around the Tulpa and distribution of depuratives for people who take medicine.
  • Light lunch (For people taking medication).
  • Relaxation therapy Eco sounds and silences directed by the teacher Gerardo Chazoy with Rape medicine
  • Reception and cleansing of energies with incense to enter the maloca (Ayen wellness center).
  • Conversation around the fire or tulpa as it is traditionally called to understand the medicine process and personal intention.
  • Tour of the botanical garden to learn about medicinal plants and their uses.

Day 3: Hike to El Salado thermal waterfall

  • Breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Transfer to Balsayaco village.
  • Hiking through the mountains until reaching the thermal water waterfall.
  • Medicinal bath in its waters causing thermal shock.
  • Cold cut lunch.
  • Return to Sibundoy.
  • Transfer of Taita Juan's maloca.
  • Lodging and rest.

Day 4: Sibundoy Cultural Show

  • Breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Free morning to rest.
  • At 11:00 am we will have a cultural visit to the Inga and Kamentsá indigenous community.
  • Interactive display of traditional music and dance used during the Besknaté or Carnival of Forgiveness.
  • Showcases craftsmanship.
  • Sharing stories in Grandma's tulpa while we roast corn on the cob.
  • Lunch.
  • Transfer from Pasto airport.
