Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Villagarzón and Visit “Where the Sun Sets”

  • Arrival at the airport
  • Our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to the place where your adventure through this wonderful department, Putumayo, will begin.
  • We will visit the Donde se oculta el sol Nature Reserve, where you can connect with nature and rest in its lap. In addition, if time permits, you can enjoy the exquisite local cuisine, and then embark on an interpretive walk and take an enriching tour that will lead you through nature, a reflection of community tourism, along trails surrounded by vegetation that will lead you to the majestic Mohano waterfall, where you can cool off and relax in complete harmony with nature, in its crystalline waters that spring from the forest.
  • We will descend from the forest and head towards an eco-lodge located in the reserve, where we will stay.

Day 2: End of the World

  • Breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Transfer to the "Fin del Mundo" waterfall, 15 minutes by vehicle from the city of Mocoa.
  • The Fin del Mundo reserve is the starting point for an exciting mountain hike. Once we have reached the registration point, we will register and receive the necessary recommendations before starting our ascent. This fascinating trail will take us through amazing landscapes, beautiful pools and waterfalls. At the end of the tour, we will be rewarded with a spectacular view of one of the most impressive waterfalls: the Fin del Mundo waterfall, over 70 meters high. If you want to take your adventure to the next level, you can also enjoy the canyoning activity (with additional cost and prior reservation).
  • After the hike, we will take a well-deserved break while enjoying a picnic lunch with a beautiful view of one of the crystal-clear water holes. In addition, you will have free time to enjoy the different water holes of the Dantayaco River, which are located at Fin del Mundo.
  • We will conclude our tour of this beautiful place and descend until we meet our vehicle, which will take us back to the hotel.
  • In the evening, we will go out to enjoy an exquisite dinner that will allow us to taste the flavors of the Amazon in a restaurant dedicated to rescuing and spreading the flavors of this beautiful region full of delicious nuances, charming flavors that reflect the culinary customs and traditions of the indigenous peoples of this department, Putumayo.

Day 3: Suruma Park and Mandiyaco Canyon

  • Breakfast at the lodging
  • Discover the Mandiyaco Canyon, a perfect place to capture photos, enjoy enchanting landscapes and immerse yourself in the unique energy of the environment. Once there, we will begin a short walk of approximately 15 minutes until we reach the Madiyaco Canyon, where we can admire the silhouettes of animal and human faces sculpted by water over time.
  • After our tour, we will return to the vehicle that will take us back to Mocoa for lunch.
  • In the afternoon, we will head to Suruma Park, a place dedicated to environmental preservation and education. During our tour, we will explore the park and have the opportunity to observe the various species of flora and fauna that live in the Amazon, such as birds, primates, felines, reptiles and amphibians native to the region. In addition, you will learn about each of them and understand their recovery process. We will also become aware of the importance of conserving and protecting the environment.

Day 4: Native Tree

  • Breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Afterwards, we will go out to give back to Mother Nature for our trip by planting a native tree.
  • Depending on your flight schedule, we will arrange for your transfer to the airport. (If your flight is later, we may offer you additional activities at an extra cost).
